Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) is seeking highly motivated individuals to join the BCA Supply Chain Contracts & Sourcing team as a Senior Procurement Agent (level 4) at our Everett, Washington site.

These individuals must be willing to work in a fluid and ambitious environment. This position requires individuals to understand processes and compliance, yet have the ability to think outside of the box to find creative solutions to contracting problems that both protect the enterprise and enable the business. This position will provide an opportunity to work closely with leaders of new programs, participate in cross-functional negotiations, and may support Sourcing, Functional Excellence, Affordability or a commodity specific team. Ideal candidates are skilled at negotiating and implementing all aspects of the procurement process, developing and running internal and external relationships - at all levels, negotiating and handling costs and terms & conditions, and are constantly driven to exceed affordability and financial goals and objectives. Ideal candidates will be encouraged to demonstrate an ability to educate and mentor their peers on Boeing contractual terms, preparing for supplier negotiations, and adhering to the procurement process. Some travel may be required for this position. (Approximately 10-25% domestic and/or international travel may be required).

Selected individuals may support any of the following teams: Functional Excellence - CNS/Aftermarket, Functional Excellence - Process, Interiors, or other category specific teams.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintains pro forma documents in alignment with program tenets and objectives.
  • Provide contract terms and conditions negotiation support; including internal and external executive engagements.
  • Provide guidance and support on contractual enforcement.
  • Develop procurement and supply chain solutions, strategies and policies to support customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement company strategic business goals and objectives.
  • Consult on proposal analyses and development of negotiation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and implement negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions.
  • Integrate program, customer, product, and in-service strategies into negotiation and contracting strategies.
  • Interpret and enforce contract terms and conditions.
  • Initiate and complete supplier improvement activities, inclusive of Value Engineering, and integrate results into contracting strategies.
  • Proactively communicate with the leadership team, peers, and customers. This may include the preparation and presentation of the business vision, supplier strategies, affordability targets, program/project status, etc.
  • Establish partnerships and relationships across various business units with internal and external customers, partners, and peers.
  • Ability to present to and connect with executive leadership.
  • Adhere and implement to Supply Chain affordability and financial goals and objectives.


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 8+ years of experience with Procurement and Supply Chain processes and systems
  • 8+ years of experience drafting and negotiating contractual agreements
  • 8+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners
  • 8+ years of experience negotiating contractual terms and conditions
  • 8+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed


Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 more years' related work experience or equivalent work experience or military experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years of experience drafting, negotiating and completing complex contracts and subcontracts
  • 5+ years of experience crafting and developing strategy plans
  • 5+ years of experience developing proposals or contracts
  • 5+ years of experience developing and mentoring to, procurement process lifecycle
  • 5+ years of experience developing, and achieving affordability targets
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that required strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, technical skills, and analytical and problem-solving abilities


Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 10 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Summary pay range: $102,000 - $138,000
