We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer who will play a pivotal role in advancing our patented High-Pressure Slurry Ablation (HPSA) technology. This role will help support the company to achieve optimization of our new, innovative, selective liberation technology. Once a unit has been optimized for a particular application, the Senior Process Engineer would assist the team and contracted EPC firm with scaling up the technology and implementing it into an operation. Disa seeks to lower energy consumption for operators while increasing grade and/or recovery. The Senior Process Engineer would be part of the frontline team making gametime decisions to help advance the technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the experienced Disa team, consultants and Disa’s strategic partners for technology R&D and optimization.
- Assist with the advancement and commercialization of HPSA technology in different market applications (phosphate, graphite, potash, uranium, etc.)
- Assist with business development and conduct techno-economic analysis for emerging applications
- Work hand-in-hand with other engineers on the Disa team to structure and execute test campaigns
- Structure experimental designs on a variety of materials; generate data sets and written reports
- Read flowsheets from prospective customers to identify areas where technology can be implemented and develop a plan for optimization and implementation.
- Assist with engineering for scaling units to commercial scale and implementation.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical, Mining, Chemical, Metallurgical, Minerals Processing Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s/PhD preferred
- Be able to work in a start-up environment that demands “wearing multiple hats”
- Strong Math and Science background (especially Chemistry and Physics)
- Extensive experience in mining, minerals processing and/or remediation
- Extensive experience with process flowsheet design and process control
- Extensive knowledge using minerals processing lab equipment
- Ability to learn about new techniques and technologies and maintain awareness on industry advancements
- Possess an aptitude for design and computing
- Python and VBA coding experience preferred

Salary Range: 120k - 160k USD (Dependent on Skills and Experience)
