Job Summary:
Raytheon Software Engineering is looking for a Senior Principal Software Engineer – Sensor SW Integration Lead in Tucson, AZ. The candidate will lead in the accomplishment of engineering tasks in an iterative development environment. The Guidance Section Kit Seeker Software Integration Lead will communicate and work closely with Seeker Software Chief Product Owner (CPO), Product Owners (PO), Signal Processing Algorithm experts, the Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL), the Seeker SW team, stakeholder programs/customers, and other Product Owners in support of a missile system development activity. The candidate will provide technical direction and lead a team of engineers to plan, assign, status, and guide seeker Agile Software tasks across the team. The SW Integration lead attends technical interchange meetings with the team members and key stakeholders and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of projects, provide status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks as required, provide document reviews, and resolve technical software engineering and integration issues. This candidate must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines. The candidate must be able to lead a team working multiple configurations of hardware and manage multiple development branches.
This position is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Work in a team environment developing software applications
- Decompose seeker software capabilities into actionable features
- Define daily seeker software firmware integration backlog priorities
- Work in an Agile and DevOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Systems, Integration and Verification teams
- Demonstrate ability to effectively work and communicate with all levels of program, customers, and technical leads (IPTs, chief engineers, architects)
- Provide presentations to communicate status to program leadership and the customer
- Experience with Git, Microsoft Azure DevOps Server, and Jenkins.
- Experience solving SW/HW/FW integration problems
- Experience integrating and testing SW with SWES, CIL, and HIL test equipment
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years' experience
- Experience including at least two of the following: Embedded Operating Systems (Linux, RTOS, VxWorks, etc), Software Architecture Design and Implementation
- Experience with C, C++, Python, and/or Object-Oriented Program Languages
- An Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Seeker SW development and/or integration experience
- SAFe Certified
- Agile and Scrum experience
- Experience as a Scrum Master
