Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal / Principal Project Management Level 3 and 4 join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located onsite in Redondo Beach, California.

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between Project Management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the F-35 Sustainment IPT to ensure suppliers are supporting quoted lead times, contractual delivery dates, Master Repair Agreements (MRA) and other IPT objectives

  • Work with supplier management teams to develop, execute, and track negotiation strategies and performance to budget baselin

  • Facilitate meetings across functional teams to identify risks, establish mitigation plans, and perform activities related to issue recovery plannin

  • Perform roles and responsibilities related to Control Account Manager (CAM) and Earned Value Management (EVM)

  • Candidate must be an independent self-starter able to work with multi-disciplined teams to analyze and solve problems and meet customer needs/contractual requirements

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Basic Qualifications: Level 3

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree a minimum of 6 years or 4 years of experience with a Masters Degree of combined experience in any of the following: Supply Chain; Project Management, Program Management; Program Scheduling; Program Cost Analysis; Subcontracts Administration; Procurement; Engineering; or Manufacturing Engineering OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in supply chain management, Project Management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning or accounting

  • Must have Project Management experience

  • Must have budgeting experience


Basic Qualifications: Level 4

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree a minimum of 10 years or 8 years of experience with a Masters Degree of combined experience in any of the following: Supply Chain; Project Management, Program Management; Program Scheduling; Program Cost Analysis; Subcontracts Administration; Procurement; Engineering; or Manufacturing Engineering OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with at least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, Project Management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning or accounting

  • Must have Project Management experience

  • Must have a budgeting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience interfacing with all levels of leadership and employees

  • Must have 2 years of planning or supply chain experience

  • SAP Experience

  • Subcontracts and/or procurement experience

  • Experience in Supplier Management

  • Familiarity with the F-35 Program

  • Control Account Management (CAM) experience

  • Adept in developing products in MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint

Salary Range: $88,700 - $133,100
Salary Range 2: $109,900 - $164,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
