Form of workCimarron is seeking senior-level Piping Designers to support a global engineering, construction, and project management customer in Richland, WA. This position is supporting work at the Hanford Vit Plant, a waste treatment and immobilization plant. This is a great opportunity to support a one-of-a-kind facility that is turning radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and the Cold War into a safer form for disposal.

This area provides access to year-round outdoor recreation, 300 days of sun a year, and the amenities of large cities (such as Seattle and Portland) nearby. This is an onsite position. This position is expected to last for at least 1 year and has the possibility to be extended.
This is a full-time/benefitted job with Cimarron that offers 1.5 times pay for overtime. Key Duties: Perform 3D modeling of piping and equipment in a 3D model environment and preparation of drawings/documents for General Arrangements and piping isometrics drawings. Assist with coordination of 3D model activities (i.e.
input, interference reconciliation, etc.) with other physical-related disciplines. Support planning and scheduling, and prepare/maintain design procedures and standards to provide quality design documents as directed. Interface with stress and pipe support engineers, construction, and suppliers during the preparation of piping designs for the purpose of model/space control, etc., and perform reviews of engineering documents.Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Due to facility security requirements, only U.S.
citizens or permanent residents are eligible for consideration at this time. Ability to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. Possesses advanced knowledge of piping codes, such as ASME B31.3 or B31.1.
Hands-on experience using a 3D piping design platform and experience using a 3D isometric extraction program. High School Diploma or equivalent and 15 or more years of experience, or Associate degree and 11 or more years of experience. Desired Skills, Experience, and Education: Hands-on use of Bentley PlantSpace Design Series for piping design.
