Job Description
This role is 100% Remote and based anywhere in the USA.
Our client is a fast-growing, Private Equity backed GovTech company providing SaaS Software solutions to the Public Sector (City / State Local Government).
They are currently upgrading their PHP codebase from 5.4 to 8.2 mainly for security reasons and are also separating the backend from the front end and changing some of their technology there and are looking for someone who can help lead the charge with this upgrade, long-term refactoring projects as well as new feature development as they embark on a platform strategy with modular and reusable components.
You will work with a strong on-shore Team Lead and Director of Engineering as well as a team of 24 people nearshore in Mexico. In the first week on the job you'll spend time learning about the products and then by week 2, you'll be diving in, taking tickets, and developing hands-on. Quickly learning the code and how things work together will be key to your success.
