Senior Payroll Associate I

LinQuest is seeking a Senior Payroll Associate I to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance is required.

The Sr Payroll Associate I will work on various tasks within the payroll department and will be expected to fulfill tasks in accordance standard operating procedures. The Sr Payroll Associate II will also be responsible for payroll processing and ensuring timely processing and compliance to standard payroll processes of assigned account(s). In addition, the Sr Payroll Associate II will be responsible for working alongside related departments such as Human Resources, Finance, or Accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll.
• Prepare concise, accurate documents and maintain project economics while maintaining flexibility for unanticipated issues.
• Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Determine payroll liabilities by calculating a team member’s federal and state income, social security taxes, employer’s social security, and unemployment taxes.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Provide phenomenal customer service to team members.
• Manage 401k plan.
• Utilize system application implementations and software configurations.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 4 - 7 years of experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with a variety of Payroll/Finance concepts, practices and procedures including Human Resources and Benefits.
• Strong analytical skills as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proven and effective problem solving and decision making skills.
• Strong communicator, both verbal and written.
• Desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• CPP certification is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel.

Compensation: Starting salary ranges from approximately $65,000 to $75,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
