Senior Patient Registrar - Admitting - Days

Registrars, in addition to registering, scheduling and obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients, assumes some responsibility for the work direction and training of Patient Registrars in accordance with established guidelines.
As a Senior Patient Registrar, provides work direction, schedules work, conducts on-the-job training, and answers job related questions. Assists in preparing performance evaluations; may recommend personnel actions for assigned staff.
The shift for this position is 9:00AM – 5:00 PM - Monday – Friday with rotating weekends and holidays at Lawrence Hospital.
Preferred Criteria
- Some college
- Knowledge of insurance benefits/requirements
Required Criteria
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of clerical experience
- Strong computer skills
- Effective Communication
