POSITION SUMMARY:
Seeking a skilled Sr. PACs Administrator with comprehensive expertise in managing and maintaining a wide array of radiology-related systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Sectra IDS7 PACs, Powerscribe, LifeIMAGE, Powershare, MIM, Xeleris, Terarecon, Intelispace, GE AW, DICOM Routers(Including DICOM Systems and Candelis), DATQuant, Hologic, Epic Radiant, DICOM Modality setup, and configuration. Maintains operations and systems upgrades to the PACS systems, as well as the system archive and workstations throughout the BMC systems. Monitors software and hardware related issues, to include disk space allocation, device configuration and back-up system. Assesses department needs, troubleshoots hardware and software problems. Provides training on software applications to physicians, technologists, and administrative personnel.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
  • System Administration: Proficiently manage and maintain Sectra IDS7 PACs, Powerscribe, LifeIMAGE, Powershare, MIM, Xeleris, Terarecon, Intelispace, GE AW, DICOM Routers, DICOM Systems, Candelis, DATQuant, Hologic, and other radiology-related systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues with radiology systems promptly to ensure uninterrupted workflow. Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and optimizations.
  • Integration and Configuration: Implement and configure DICOM Modality setups, ensuring seamless communication and compatibility between various radiological devices and systems.
  • Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with radiologists, technicians, and other staff to understand system needs. Provide training and support to end-users to maximize system utilization and efficiency.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and compliance standards. Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.

EXPERIENCE:
  • At least 5-7 of relevant experience in administering and supporting radiology systems in a healthcare environment and 3-4 years of Radiology experience with 3-4 years of PACs experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Work requires knowledge of radiology policies, procedures, and practices, as well as equipment maintenance.
  • Work requires interpersonal skills sufficient to provide effective leadership for assigned supervisory, technical and support personnel, and to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with various hospital departments.
  • Work requires analytical abilities necessary to direct day- to-day operations, ensure efficiency of personnel, and to respond effectively to equipment malfunctioning and employee relations problems.
  • Work requires level of knowledge of radiologic technology and information systems generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's Degree.
  • Knowledge of the assigned business area's products and processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business.
  • Strong understanding of project management concepts in planning and implementing multiple projects in a cross functional environment.
  • Strong written communication skills, including technical writing.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills; a demonstrated track record in new concept development for various projects and complex technical plans.
  • Ability to solve problems involving remote and elusive symptoms often spanning multiple environments in a business area.
  • Understanding of how IT affects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business process.
  • Ability to be a team player; flexible, friendly, congenial, and enthusiastic.
  • Hybrid support/coverage with onsite and remote.
  • On call rotation support.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Sectra IDS7 PACs, Powerscribe, LifeIMAGE, Powershare, MIM, Xeleris, Terarecon, Intelispace, GE AW, DICOM Routers, DICOM Systems, Candelis, DATQuant, Hologic, and related systems.
  • Familiarity with Epic Radiant and its integration within radiology workflows.
  • Proficiency in DICOM protocol, modality setup, and configuration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
