Overview:
SRI is supporting the implementation of a new enterprise soldier recruiting system for the U.S. Army TRADOC. In support of this Enterprise System implementation, SRI is searching for an Operations Research/Business Process Analyst to conduct business process analysis and business process re-engineering for modernization of the Accessions Community, to formulate and apply modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Research, analyzes, and validates data to prepare informed courses of action throughout the strategic planning process; prepare findings and proposals for presentation to senior leadership.
- Creates process maps using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) or the DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF).
- Collaborates with stakeholders to create “as-is” process views to identify “to-be” transformation opportunities.
- Assists in the deployment of information technology solutions and transformation of business processes and procedures.
- Leads the analysis of current processes and makes recommendations for process improvements.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a working group of stakeholders in capturing business processes, policies, and solving problems.
- Demonstrates the ability to take ownership of tasks and initiate actions.
- Use expert communication skills to brief program leadership on status of current initiatives.
Minimum Required Skills, Education, Experience & Abilities:
- Prior military experience
- Experience working with the Center for Initial Miliary Training (CIMT)
- Experience working in the U.S. Army Recruiting Command and/or a Reception Battalion
- Able to obtain a favorable NAC-I.
- Knowledge of the DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) products.
- Experience/Education. A minimum of 10 years’ demonstrated experience in the above areas with a MA/MS degree in one of the following fields is required: behavioral science, operations research, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or computer science. An additional 4 plus years of demonstrated experience performing at or above the listed positions requirements may be a substitution in lieu of a master’s degree.
- Experience with organizational efficiency knowledge and process management.
- Be a self-starter; require minimum oversight and demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Must possess a current and valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Computer literate and proficient in preparing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents; can gather information, create and maintain PowerPoint briefings, make recommendations for program improvement, and provide communication (orally and written) to disseminate information throughout the organization.
- Must have the ability to meet occasionally travel and be able to work over 40 (surge) hours if requested.
Strongly preferred experience includes all of the following:
- Experience with Business Process Re-Design and/or Organizational Change Management
- Experience with Microsoft Visio.
