Senior Occupational Therapist - Neuroscience

Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager and consultative supervision of the Occupational Therapy Practice Manager, the Occupational Therapist II is responsible for providing quality care for patients receiving occupational therapy services, including detailed evaluation, assessment, treatment planning, goal setting, treatment implementation, discharge planning to transition the patient toward maximum independence. The Occupational Therapist II must document according to professional and facility standards. The Occupational Therapist II also demonstrates advanced treatment skills and functions as a clinical instructor in the development of students and interns. The Occupational Therapist II follows an individualized performance development plan to maintain current and competent in critical areas and support program goals, hospital goals and objectives, hospital functions and philosophy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy professional program. Or equivalent educ/experience.- Comparable education approved by the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • upon hire: California Occupational Therapist License.
  • upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 3 years Experience as a practicing therapist, preferably in physical rehabilitation.
  • Served as a clinical instructor for interns and students and participated in presenting in-services to students.
  • Completed a project or special assignment related to program or staff development.
  • Participated in at least one community service event in the last year.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • upon hire: AOTA and OTAC membership.

About the Team

Providence Physician Enterprise (PE) is a service line within Providence serving patients across seven states with quality, compassionate, coordinated care.
