Remuneration: $105,093.00 - $108,612.00 pa (plus super) ; $53.00 - 54.78 ph (plus super)

Senior Occupational Therapist - Emergency Department
Orange Health Service


About the role:
An exciting opportunity for a Occupational Therapist/s (OT) to join the team at Orange Health Service.

 

The Occupational Therapists within the Emergency Department will have integral role in screening all patients admitted to the ED with a particular focus on patients >65 years old and further assessing those deemed appropriate for full Occupational Therapy assessment, recommendation and discharge planning. This position aims to enhance and support patient flow through the ED, building a greater understanding of the benefits Occupational Therapy can have in preventing hospital admissions and supporting safe patient discharge from Hospital.

Where you'll be working:  
This position is based within the Occupational Therapy department at Orange Health Service servicing the Emergency Department at OHS.

We are a large OT department servicing a range of clinical areas including Acute, Rehabilitation, Paediatrics and hand therapy.

 

We pride ourselves on our cohesion as a team in delivering holistic, evidence based Occupational Therapy to all patients and clients and our delivery and encouragement of ongoing education and CPD through the provision of our team fortnightly education program.

 

Our department is focused on improving patient care and patient experiences through the completion of quality improvement projects and works closely with members of our MDT to ensure patient safety and care is at the forefront of our daily practice.
