Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians is seeking a full time Senior Network Administrator at our central business office in Westerville, OH. The Networking team is responsible for configuring, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN and voice infrastructure for a group of 400 physicians, 2000+ employees, in over 80 locations servicing more than 400,000 patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with IT Systems and Security Manager and Business units to implement robust networking solutions that support our strategic objectives.
- Maintain Core and Edge Networking gear to ensure reliability and security standards are being met.
- Work with network access system in deployment of networking gear.
- Configure and monitor next generation firewall equipment.
- Manage physical and virtual network load balancers.
- Assist in the configuration of networking gear to be rolled out to new sites.
- Consult with department heads and end-users to further infrastructure development.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility.
- Work with data circuit providers to escalate support tickets and quickly resolve network issues as they occur.
- Build and maintain datacenter infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and redundancy.
- Develop and execute test plans to check technical performance of infrastructure; make recommendations for further improvement.
- Develop documentation and diagrams of network environment.
- Design, configure, and perform maintenance on network infrastructure.

A. Education, Licensures & Certifications
Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Required: Background in the healthcare industry.
Required: Proficiency in information systems, system networking and integration, implementation of technology systems and the measurement of progress and results of technology investments.
Required: Experience in managing datacenter network and disaster recovery infrastructure.
Preferred: Network industry certifications, including CCNA/CCNP, HPE Aruba wired and wireless or Firewall.
- Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering.
- Extensive experience in network creation and development.
- Proven experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving network problems.
- Experience with software defined networking solutions.
- Excellent background in Wireless implementation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with analyzing packet captures in Wireshark or other analytical toolsets.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Experience with Cloud Computing Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP, VSF, VRRP).
- Strong Knowledge of information processing fundamentals and best practices.
- Excellent architecture and technical support documentation skills.
- Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required
