As Park Bank's next Senior Mortgage Loan Officer, you have several years of mortgage lending experience - both networking and organic relationship building come naturally to you. You are passionate about external prospecting and driven to continue identifying opportunities to connect with potential clients and referral sources in the community. Selling Park Bank products and services will come naturally to you, as your authentic desire to connect with and help those around you results in banking & lending relationships being formed. You have a keen eye for the needs of current or prospective clients, and sense of who or where referral sources may lay. You are plugged into the community and enjoy having a philanthropic impact on people and organizations. Collaborating with your fellow associates (Mortgage Loan Operations, Branch Banking Associates, etc.) is where you shine, ensuring a smooth experience for all involved.
Requirements
Essential Functions & Duties
- Occasionally attend networking industry functions such as trade shows, professional groups, etc.
- Perform daily cold calling activities as prescribed by sales plan
- Seek and work to uncover sales/partner development with an emphasis in external relationships (realtors, attorneys, businesses, employers)
- Meet or exceed general goal that 60% or > of annual production are new Mortgage Loans to the bank
- Perform level of sales activity that allows them to meet or exceed positions minimum goals
- Search for and attend non-industry functions (non-traditional referral sources)
- Communicate reliable status reports with clients and referral sources during and/or outside normal work hours
- Identify and match correct product to client situation and needs
- Maintain an exemplary client experience
- Respond to and manage internal (branch, management and executive) sales referrals
- Coordinate non-mortgage product referrals to appropriate branch staff
- Provide reliable, energetic, enthusiastic service across retail, commercial and executive departments within the Bank
- Initiate the application and initial disclosures for Mortgage Loans prospected
- Assist in identifying minimum required documents as per Desk top underwriter or Park Bank Guidelines
- Hand off loan requests to business line partners
- Coordinate a successful close
- Provides mentorship to less experienced Mortgage Advisors and delivers product and service knowledge to their peers
- Participates in and provides thorough leadership for projects and initiatives
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3-5 years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Education and Experience
Associate's Degree in Business or Banking related field
