Senior Mobile Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and developing our mobile applications using React Native. You will also be responsible for adding a new mobile app to our platform, leveraging your expertise in mobile app development, architecture, and React Native.

Responsibilities

Mobile Architecture:

Lead the architectural design of the new mobile app, ensuring scalability and maintainability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to define technical requirements and project scope.

Provide guidance on technology choices, libraries, and frameworks to achieve optimal performance and user experience.

React Native Development:

Develop high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code using React Native to create seamless mobile experiences across iOS and Android platforms.

Optimize application performance and responsiveness while ensuring compatibility with various devices and screen sizes.

Stay up-to-date with React Native updates, best practices, and emerging trends to enhance development processes.

Platform Expansion:

Take a lead role in adding the new mobile app to our existing platform, ensuring seamless integration with the backend and other services.

Collaborate with backend developers to design and implement robust APIs for mobile app functionality.

Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure a bug-free and user-friendly app.

Code Quality and Best Practices:

Define mobile coding standards, code reviews, and testing strategies to maintain high code quality.

Identify and address performance bottlenecks and technical debt as part of ongoing development.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

Create comprehensive technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of other team members.

Mentor and guide junior developers in the team, sharing your expertise and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 8+ years experience as a Mobile Engineer with a strong focus on React Native development.
• Familiarity with best practices for offline operation and keeping data in sync with the server.
• Demonstrated ability to lead architectural decisions and design scalable mobile applications.
• Familiarity with mobile app testing, debugging, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with RESTful API integration and knowledge of backend technologies is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
