POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Medical Materials Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight of Medical Materials Review (MMR) operational activities/projects and other functions that support Medical Information (MI) or Medical Affairs (MA).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Act as subject matter expert of the MMR process and management systems.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operational support of MMR.
  • Collaborate with MMR operations (Directors and Coordinators) and MMR stakeholders including Medical reviewers, Project owners, Agencies, Legal, Regulatory, and others to ensure Medical Materials flow through the appropriate review channels.
  • Provide support and guidance to coordinators in regular touchpoints.
  • Determine what issues/questions require additional MMR input/guidance and facilitate the process for resolution.
  • Assist in the development of tools and resources to support the MMR process and systems including, establishment of library/portal where tools and resources are stored for easy access.
  • Lead overhaul of MMR presence including creating a plan to reflect new MMR approach and oversee deployment and implementation.
  • Provide leadership input for MMR planning and support of Congresses and other major initiatives.
  • Collaborate with MI Operations to ensure ongoing alignment and visibility to MedComms initiatives including oversight of licenses.
  • Bolster MMR on-boarding process to ensure all MMR participants are well prepared to participate in MMR activities.
  • Identify new training tools and coaching programs as needed to ensure strong, effective participation by all MMR members.
  • Develop and deliver Quarterly MMR Metrics package and as needed.
  • Assist MMR leadership team in generating Key Performance Indicator progress reports and conducting necessary analyses.
  • Collaborate with MMR Director to identify new opportunities, implement best practice, steward long term planning and champion MMR operations across the organization

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word and quickly able to learn new software.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Experience: Three to five years of related experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred. Demonstrated project management and collaboration skills across different roles preferred. Experience with developing SOPs and guidance documents preferred.
Computer Skills: Prefer proficiency with Veeva Vault, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Exposure to Sharepoint, Box, Smartsheet, and other data analytics software
