Senior Manufacturing Engineer - $120K+

OVERVIEW: Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer with proven track record in implementing Lean methodologies and managing design projects. Ideal candidate will be adept at optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in manufacturing operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lean Project Management:
   • Lead and facilitate Lean projects aimed at reducing waste, improving quality, and increasing overall efficiency in manufacturing operations.
   • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure successful implementation of Lean initiatives.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction.
   • Utilize Lean tools and methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement efforts.
2. Manufacturing Process Optimization:
   • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
   • Design and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity, reduce cycle times, and minimize costs.
   • Utilize statistical analysis and data-driven approaches to identify root causes of inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
3. Design Engineering:
   • Lead design projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications, quality standards, and budget constraints.
   • Collaborate with product development teams to translate design requirements into manufacturable solutions.
   • Utilize CAD software and other design tools to create detailed drawings, prototypes, and models.
   • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate the viability of proposed design solutions.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
   • Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, supply chain, and R&D to achieve company goals and objectives.
   • Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve manufacturing issues and support product launches.
   • Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the organization.
5. Documentation and Compliance:
   • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and company policies.
   • Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, design specifications, and project progress.
   • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, data, and technical expertise as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in MANUFACTURING ENGINEERing roles, with a focus on Lean implementation and project management.
• Proven experience in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency in Lean methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Six Sigma.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions.
• Strong leadership abilities with the capability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and drive change initiatives.
