Job Location: Hershey, PA
Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, you will develop and execute strategic communications that promote employee understanding, engagement and action around Hershey's enterprise-wide business transformation. Guide and galvanize our people behind this journey through powerful change and communications strategy and delivery.
Corporate Communications Accountability:
- Strategic Planning: Lead the creation and/or execution of editorial, language, engagement, internal, external, and change communications strategies.
- Content Development:Lead the creation of written, verbal, and/or visual communications.
- Content Management:Lead the management of content for social media accounts, internal and external-facing websites, branding, agency projects, media projects, and consumer projects.
- Stakeholder Management:Lead the alignment of stakeholders around communications initiatives, content approvals, and consult on communications best practices and tools.
- Training:Lead the training of stakeholders around communications practices and tools, brand guidelines, media outreach, and crisis/responsive communications.
Core Transformation Communications Responsibilities:
- Partner with the business transformation leadership team to regularly communicate vision, goals, milestones and achievements to employees at all levels.
- Architect Transformation Communications plans and deliver across a breadth of audiences and channels including: leader scripts, newsletters, update emails, intranet articles, external thought leadership pieces, such as blogs, LinkedIn and executive media interviews.
- Partner with the Organizational Change Team to measure and analyze change and communication effectiveness across the enterprise and within functional change.
- Design two-way communication channels that allow employee questions, input and feedback to inform the transformation process.
- Partner with HR on change leadership strategies addressing mindsets, behaviors and skill-building related to transformation.
- Lead communications project scoping, planning, resourcing, management and execution with cross-functional partners.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years developing strategic and impactful communications for organizational change programs.
- Experienced in architecting strategic change and communications plans.
- Exceptional copywriting and editing skills across various audiences and mediums.
- Strong translator able to decode complex strategies into relatable narratives.
- Savvy storyteller and messenger able to motivate employee participation amidst change.
- Skilled at synthesizing employee feedback into actionable communications insights.
- Background guiding corporate transformations through effective communications.
- Strong project management experience.
