Job description

Purpose: 
The NAM Senior Manager Training DC Operations plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our NAM DCs by overseeing training and development initiatives. The primary responsibility will be to develop and implement comprehensive training programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of our DC employees across multiple locations in NAM.  Flexibility to travel to different NAM DCs will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Program Development
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to design and develop training programs tailored to the specific needs of the NAM DCs.  
•    This includes identifying training gaps, creating training modules, and implementing training strategies to improve operational excellence.
Training Material Creation
•    Develop training materials, including presentations, training manuals, job aids, and e-learning modules, to support the delivery of training programs. 
•    Ensure the training content is current, accurate, and aligns with company policies, procedures, and best practices.
Training Delivery
•    Conduct engaging and impactful training sessions for distribution center employees, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and training methodologies. 
•    These sessions may cover areas such as warehouse operations, safety protocols, equipment usage, inventory management, and quality assurance.
Training Evaluation and Feedback
•    Implement mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of training programs and evaluate the learning outcomes.
•    Gather feedback from trainees and stakeholders to continuously improve the training content and delivery methods.
Compliance and Documentation
•    Ensure training compliance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and industry best practices.
•    Maintain accurate training records and documentation to track employee progress, certifications, and ongoing training needs.


Continuous Improvement
•    Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and training practices to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of training programs. 
•    Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend innovative solutions to optimize training delivery.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively. The ability to deliver engaging presentations, facilitate training sessions, and articulate complex concepts in a relatable manner.
•    Proficiency in delivering training sessions using various methodologies and techniques, such as classroom instruction, hands-on training, simulations, and e-learning platforms. The ability to adapt training approaches to different learning styles and engage diverse audiences.
•    Effective organizational and project management skills to handle multiple training programs simultaneously, meet deadlines, and coordinate resources. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks are crucial.
•    Strong expertise in designing and developing effective training programs, including instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and training needs analysis. 
•    Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with department managers, HR personnel, and subject matter experts. The ability to build relationships, understand stakeholders' needs, and work collaboratively to achieve training goals.
•    Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire trainers, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive learning environment. The ability to manage performance, delegate tasks, and support professional development. Ability to effectively manage teams remotely. 
•    A passion for learning and staying up to date with industry advancements, best practices in training and development, and emerging technologies. The willingness to continuously improve your own skills and knowledge.
•    A solid understanding of DC operations, including inventory management, warehouse processes, logistics, and safety procedures. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards is beneficial.
•    Strong analytical skills to assess training needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement. The ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and make data-driven decisions to enhance training initiatives.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 
•    A four-year degree from a college or university with emphasis in Education, Instructional Design, Business, operations management. 
•    5+ years experience in Training, Instructional Design, Operations, and Logistics, preferably with knowledge of the footwear, apparel, FMCG, Fast Fashion industries.
