About this role
Kidde has an opportunity for a Senior Manager - Sales. This is a sales management position leading a professional sales team of Regional Managers that handle day-to-day account management for the Electrical, Industrial and Fire Extinguisher Industries while also leading Key National Builders in the Region. Success can only be achieved by thinking boldly, while working both with the customer and Kidde internal Stakeholders. As much as 50% of the time in this role is internally focused working with all functional departments including the sales team. The overall goal is to ensure both short- and medium-term operational plans are achieved while maintaining Kidde as the Industry leader in detection and suppression products.
This is a remote role for someone living in either Colorado, California, or North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver established sale targets through strategic planning across multiple verticals
  • Accountable for the day-to-day contact with the Top 15 National Home Builders across the US
  • Implement both the short-term and long-term Home Builder strategy
  • Develop and implement monthly sales forecasts and business reviews of the Region in relation to the region's overall plan performance
  • Provide sales expertise to support direct reports to reach and exceed their sales goals
  • Identify internal stakeholders capable of removing barriers required for success and customer satisfaction
  • Accountable for Execute Strategy
  • - Annual creation & negotiation of both National and Regional joint investment agreements intended to drive Kidde sales and overall customer growth ahead of the market
  • - Programs should align customers' marketing/sales focus with Kidde Corporate strategies (EX: Legislation, NPI's etc.)
  • - Establish minimum quarterly benchmarks to ensure the success of the Region
  • - Convey significant industry and customer developments to management
  • - Engage with national/regional customer events, attend trade shows, lead industry network events and shows
  • Provide summaries of Strategy and other progress in formal form for use by Senior Management on forecast demand
  • Career development for direct reports; ensure continuity and succession plans are in place to maximize team performance

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8 plus years of experience in manufacturing or/and sales

Preferred Qualifications
  • Sales management experience in the Fire Detection Industry across multiple channels and worked directly in the Home Building Industry at either the builder or manufacturing level
  • Direct people management
  • Work with customers to develop mutually beneficial goals, meet quota, document, communicate and execute sales strategies for the assigned territory
  • Create, manage, and implement strategic sales plans
  • English verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service skills, and presenting product solutions to the customer base
  • Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Work in a Direct and Matrixed Team selling environment
  • Influence cross-functional teams to achieve goals

Pay Range:
$132,000 - $185,000 Annually
