- Essential Functions:
- Provides IT solutions aligned with the organization’s business needs. Develops and communicates strategic IT vision and goals to management.
- Provides daily technology solutions to meet the needs of staff, programs and agency and attempts to resolve all system related problems and monitors usage and reports to maintain efficient operations;
- Knowledgeable about the programs used by other departments to ensure efficient operations and to assist in updates and software changes, as needed;
- Develops and maintains IT policies, including data security policies, and IT disaster recovery plans to be updated annually;
- Plans, coordinates, and oversees all technology related projects, including hardware and software development and implementation;
- Monitors computer software licenses and insures compliance with licensing agreements;
- Provides and coordinates training for staff in operation of the network system and information security; and
- Responsible for purchasing, vendor management, and contraction negotiation with existing and potential IT vendors in accordance with the organization’s procurement policies;
- Maintains awareness of current technology, data security, and IT trends that may impact the organization and makes recommendations on actions to management.

- Ability to lift and move computer equipment without assistance (e.g., laptop computers, desktop computers, file servers, computer monitors, printers, etc.) weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Range of motion that allows the individual to work in tight or awkward spaces (e.g., under and around office equipment, etc.).
- Highly proficient in the design and implementation of Computer Network infrastructures.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office 2010 and above.
- Highly proficient with the installation, setup and configuration of Windows Operating Systems (e.g., Windows 7 and above).
- Highly proficient in the installation, setup and configuration of Network Operating System software (e.g., Windows 2012, 2016 Server).
- Highly proficient in installation and repair of computer equipment.
- Highly proficient in virtualized network infrastructures (e.g., VMware, Hyper V).
