About the Role
In this role, you will build and develop innovative internal and external content strategies to support the company’s long-range plan. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate strategic communications. You will develop a deep understanding of the business and leverage your understanding of industry trends to shape stories that convey the company’s priorities, values, and market position.
What You'll Do
Partner with the business to build a narrative that communicates our company’s business objectives, culture, and values to our employees, prospective employees, shareholders, and customers
Design, edit, and oversee the distribution of internal and external communication materials, including program communications, presentations, FAQs and fact sheets, press materials, speeches, articles, and social content
Provide guidance and support to executive management for internal and external meetings
Evaluate fit with target audience to ensure comprehension Implement metrics to evaluate effectiveness of communication plan delivery
Develop standards and guidelines for style and content internally and externally
Build cross functional partnerships and consensus with internal stakeholders and agency partners
Influence strategy for area/team
Be a brand ambassador for our brand and Gap Inc, brand awareness across all company channels.
Drive local and national business press stories and product focused editorials, exploring Influencer integrations and experiential events where possible, and helping supplement brand storytelling.
Works cross-functionally with merchandising and channel leads to develop seasonal and annual marketing communication frameworks aligned to regional brand and commercial objectives.
Manage internal/Gap Inc and consumer communications editorial calendars to ensure consistency, and amplification of key messages and products annually and seasonally.
Support Influencer strategy and build the 360 approaches across talent, product and storytelling for brand and influencer channels.
Assist with retail events strategy for media/influencer activations and local retail events aligned to the brand marketing and cultural calendar deliver engaging customer experiences.
Establish strong relationships and collaboration with relevant stakeholders throughout the organization (Design, Merchandising, Visuals, Creative, Media, Social) to inform on-going and always-on planning and business/brand alignment throughout the season.
Play a strong, senior strategic role in working cross-functionally and with senior leaders. (CEO, Head of Marketing, HR, Strategy, Retail teams)
Support Gap Inc. Internal Communications partners with overall collaboration as it relates to brand updates, seasonal product news, Town Halls, earnings, reporting and cross-sharing of information.
Who You Are
Ability to drive cultural and/or change initiatives, and position a brand/company as a great place to work
Creative, innovative, and curious; ability to move from concept to ideation to execution; strong bias for action
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and oversee multiple concurrent projects and workstreams with various business partners
Excellent written, verbal and advisory skills, including speechwriting experience; proven track record of delivering exceptional written work
Ability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions
Collaborative mindset, with desire to foster partnership and conceptual integration with key teams cross-functionally (Gap Inc corporate communications, marketing, brand experience, creative, visual, ecom, media, etc.)
Concrete experience managing complex projects and programs requiring thorough leadership to align multiple teams and stakeholders.
Have industry knowledge, personality and composure to work with senior level executives, major media outlets, talent/influencers and brand partners.
Ability to determine solutions independently, think creatively, proactively, and implement rapidly.
Leader of teams, collaborative, nimble and agile; Flexibility to manage competing priorities and shift focus as determined by changing business needs.

Salary Range: $140,700 - $186,400 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
