Role Overview:

The Senior ManagerEngineering ProjectsBrewing and Utilities will support the Mark Anthony Brewing organization and will lead the safe design and construction of both new and existing brewery projects. The design and construction must align with strategic MAB initiatives and standards, and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local code requirements and rules. Associated work will include management of engineering and construction contractors for the successful completion of projects utilizing a stage-gated approach. Incumbent will be responsible for managing all aspects of projects, including Project Execution, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Project Controls, Risk Mitigation, Business Economics, Record Keeping, Health-Safety-Environment, Quality, Staffing, and Operations. Qualified candidates will coordinate with other MAB teams in these categories to manage capital expenditure driven projects. Incumbent will interface with senior level stakeholders on a regular basis and work at the direction of the corporate director of project management and the vice president of Engineering.

Success in the role will be accomplished through the collaborative implementation of industry accepted best practices, working across a diverse group of team members, and delivering to project metrics.

Your ability to work effectively with internal and external customers in support of delivering a highly effective project execution process will be critical to success in this role. You will be required to develop a vision for each project that extends from early development to final completion and startup into the MAB plant operations.

 

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop design and feasibility studies for projects at MAB or new facilities along with project budgets and execution plans.
  • Review or prepare equipment specifications and construction bid packages.
  • Monitor and direct project activity to control scheduling and costs for projects.
  • Coordinate project activities with the operating brewery teams at MAB manufacturing sites and Prepare project startup and training programs.
  • Prepare and/or assemble periodic project reports and activity summaries for the projects under your control.
  • Regularly review the work of consultants and contractors hired to provide deliverables to MAB projects and lead them to successful project completion.

Qualifications, Education, & Experience

  • Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical engineering experience is preferred.
  • Experience in industrial Food and Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, or Chemical processing is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing engineering across multiple disciplines along with involvement in construction activities or construction management.
  • Ability to manage procurement activities throughout the project life cycle, from initial estimates through bid and final award. Familiarity with contract administration/review experience is essential.
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of the intricacies of the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Startup, and closeout workflow on major projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including building and motivating teams along with having a strong work ethic and being results oriented.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, listening and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead change and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and improve existing processes/programs.
  • Can effectively identify and evaluate technical and non-technical opportunities for improvement and translate them to financial terms that provides a business case and supports investment.
