Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager, Contracts to manage and guide customer facing Contracts Team and to support all aspects of contract lifecycle management in support of the Cabin Products segment of the Interiors business. The Senior Contracts Manager will oversee completion of contracts, trains employees, and oversees the analysis of critical data, as well as develop processes and assists in policy design in support of the Contracts department strategies. The ideal candidate possesses excellent oral and written communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a customer-facing Contracts team responsible for contract formation, negotiations, and administration.
  • Responsible for coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower-level professionals.
  • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations to protect and mitigate the organization's legal and business interests.
  • Perform duties and training related to the total lifecycle of customer facing contracts, including bid and proposal, ensuring proper approvals, negotiation, signatures, flow down, administration, and contract close out.
  • Provide guidance, interpretation, advice and counsel to the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), program management and senior management. Interface with Cabin Products Program Management and Integrated Product Team Representatives regarding all contractual aspects.
  • Engage in direct discussions and negotiations with customer.
  • Promote an ethics-based business culture within Interiors, reviewing contract terms for compliance with laws and company policies, and developing working relationships with internal business teams.
  • Interpret, prepare, administer, and act as conduit to legal team regarding a wide range of agreements including complex Non-Disclosure Agreements, purchase agreements, leases, bailments, teaming agreements, service contracts, licenses and others.
  • Coordinate contract approval process and obtain signatures, flow-down and implementation of requirements, tracking and monitoring changes, status reports, deliverables, cost performance and act as primary contractual point of contact between customer and company.
  • May lead cross functional team and apply CORE and lean tools to improve new and ongoing programs or initiatives.
  • Domestic and international travel 10% of the time, possibly more based on business needs
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading a team
  • MA/MS/JD degree
  • Experience communicating with internal / external customer representatives.
  • Demonstrated experience solving complex problems and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
