Overview /Objective
The Senior Manager, Club and Labor Finance will be a key member to the Club and Labor Finance department that focuses on overall League economics incorporating Member Club financials. The Senior Manager will be a primary contact to the 32 Clubs. The Senior Manager will be primarily responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and synthesizing club financial information for the purpose of ensuring adherence with League policy and revenue-sharing guidelines. This position will also support the calculation and projection of player cost in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement ("CBA").
Responsibilities
- Review box office and ticket reporting used for revenue sharing among Clubs to ensure completeness and accuracy in accordance with League policy for all preseason, regular season, and postseason games.
- Review Clubs' financial statement audits and Agreed-Upon Procedures reports related to key League policies.
- Administer the process to collect, review, and analyze Club conforming financial statements, which are standardized NFL Club financial statements. Update and issue detailed conforming statement instructions to best allow for a like-to-like comparison among Clubs.
- Identify and evaluate potential policy changes related to gate revenue, revenue sharing, and financial reporting. Prepare financial analysis to support potential policy changes to be reviewed by ownership committees.
- Serve as the primary liaison with Internal Audit regarding their Club compliance reviews.
- Serve as the primary administrator of the Sharepoint-based Club & Labor Finance Portal used to communicate financial information back and forth with Clubs. Coordinate with Information Technology on improvements to ensure system efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform in-depth analysis of Club and Stadium financial results to determine the impact on Player Cost and overall Leaguewide economics.
- Support the review and conversion of Club projections from GAAP revenue to All Revenue ("AR"), which is the basis for Player Costs.
- Assist with the coordination and execution of Player Cost Club Audits. Responsible for reviewing the accuracy of revenue and benefits in accordance with the CBA.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the 32 Member Clubs, and serve as a direct point of contact for Club requests.
- Assist with data collection, benchmarking analysis, and presentations to address key business decisions made by the League and the 32 Member Clubs.
- Coordinate with other League departments (Club Business Development, Corporate Finance, Corporate Strategy, Legal, Management Council) to provide relevant club financial information to support League strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in accounting or a related field of study
- Minimum 7-9 years of accounting or audit experience
- Proven management experience
- Strong financial and accounting skills
- Microsoft Excel skills must be very strong
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with large volumes of information
- Superior analytical skills with the ability to analyze from both a micro level and a macro level
- Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
- Ability to build strong working relationships with multiple senior executives and staff across the NFL league office and the 32 Clubs
- High level of organizational ethics, integrity, compliance and adherence to confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA preferred
- Sports experience (particularly with ticketing) a plus, but not required

Salary / Pay Range

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. This position may require additional hours night and weekends.
