Job Description

Proper Change Management is a critical success factor to growth at McDonald’s. We are rethinking how we support Change at McDonald’s through the formation of a McDonald’s Enterprise Change Team. The Enterprise Change Team partners with leaders to enable the human side of transformation, ensuring people adopt the changes needed to promote the long-term success of our business. As a member of the Change team, you will be a part of a team that is building something new. We’ll ensure you have the tools to take advantage of the growth opportunities we’re excited to provide.

McDonald’s Enterprise Change Team is seeking a Sr. Manager, Change. The Sr Manager, Change is responsible for managing the Change strategy and plan for a specific transformation program, or a portfolio of Change programs for a specific function or market within the Enterprise. This role is additionally responsible for overseeing progress of low - medium complexity change programs, maintaining alignment and integration with key partners, inspiring change intake discussions, and advancing the Change capability development. The Sr Manager, Change can also be deployed to change programs within their alignment. This role will report to Sr. Director – Enterprise Change Team Lead within the Global People function.

What will you do?

Drive Adoption with One McDonald’s Way of Doing Change:

  • Maintain an understanding of Change and how it gives to the broader McDonald’s strategy and priorities
  • Work with functional business partners to intake, scope and deliver Change support requests related to functional/market alignment
  • Advise and coach functional leaders on key Change Management decisions (e.g. strategy, execution, and measurement) to ensure alignment with McDonald’s Change methodology
  • Facilitate delivery of Change using McDonald’s Change framework, methodology, and resources
  • Partner to perform/assess stakeholder and change impact analysis, identifying potential project impacts/risks
  • Collaborate with key partners to gather and incorporate feedback on value realization inputs/outputs such as critical metric development & measurements
  • Lead or participate in change management projects as needed
  • Demonstrate the power of Center of Excellence partners for subject matter expertise
  • Understand the business priorities and translate them into the highest impact Change programs
  • Provide change management, training and development as needed on Change practices

Develop and Mentor your People:

  • Act as a coach and mentor to develop junior resources and establish an inclusive culture in the team
  • Provide clarity for team to understand the big picture, broader McDonald’s strategy/ context

Support Growth of Change Knowledge across the Enterprise:

  • Gain understanding of Change Framework and support training of partners, practitioners, and business leaders
  • Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs with internal and external partners.
  • Actively identify influential partners and ways to inspire Change initiatives on specific projects
Qualifications
  • Eight years minimum experience in Change management required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, human resources, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in business management, human resources, or related field preferred.
  • Advanced level project, portfolio, and change management skills. Knowledge and comfortability with Word, PowerPoint and other technologies; high Excel proficiency is required
  • Experience in strategic advisory and influencing leaders, designing and executing project plans requiring funding proposals, and managing multiple program and project teams completing low – high complexity Change programs/projects. This role requires ability to maintain influence with Business leaders to drive alignment and ascertain we have the right Business engagement
