Work Location: This position can be remote; if within a commutable distance of a Customers Bank location, the expectation is to be hybrid and come into the office 3-days per week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

What you’ll do:
Utilize your expertise in internal audit and project management to work closely with our newly established regulatory excellence office. You will interact with all levels within the organization and be able to understand how to test complex controls, and how to evidentially support audit’s opinion of the efficacy of these controls. You will persuasively interact with CXO and EVP levels and convey your evaluation of controls as they relate to bank operations. You will also assist in the creation of audit committee and board materials and metrics.
What do you need?
- 10+ years of Internal Audit experience in a high paced financial services environment, preferably in a technology forward environment – testing operational, financial, and compliance related controls.
- A working understanding of PCAOB audit methodology and the application of these methodologies in a financial services environment.
- Experience managing co-sourced audit relationships and communicating findings to executives.
- Experience interacting and communicating complex audit issues to all levels of an organization.
- Experience with conveying control best practices and making recommendations for issue remediation based on precedent.
- Experience coordinating with audit leaders on key performance and risk indicators, and reporting these to the board.
- Willingness to pitch in and test controls when needed.
Technology Skills:
- You have led Teammate or Auditboard migrations (or other audit management software packages to the cloud).
- You are an expert user of outputs from a major GRC or audit solution and can formulate meaningful recommendations based on inputs provided by auditors in the organization.
