Your role will...

As Senior M&A Integration Project Manager - Accounting & Finance, you will work closely with the executive team, the M&A team, sellers, other workstream M&A Project Managers, and key stakeholders to execute financial diligence and manage integrating prospects and newly acquired companies. This role will be responsible for planning and executing accounting and finance integration activities during the deal life cycle from early-stage due diligence through post-close execution. 
This is a remote position that can be based in the central or eastern United States (CST or EST time zones). This role will require up to 20% travel, both national and international. 

After 3 months you will...

  • Attend M&A-led meetings, including cross-functional diligence calls, in order to capture financial and operational data on potential targets, provide support on diligence and pre-close activities.
  • Proactively identify any risks/concerns/changes that may present challenges during integration and/or will need to be addressed/communicated in advance of closing.
  • Develop detailed accounting integration plans and timelines and coordinate with functional teams to ensure alignment and accountability for integration activities.
  • Lead the end-to-end accounting integration process, preparing the accounting and finance business of the target to be handed over to the relevant teams at the completion of integration.
  • Manage and execute post-close integration activities:
    • obtaining proper financial documentation for closing and Day 1 activities,
    • working with external consultant for valuation activities on transactions
    • preparing the necessary journal entries to establish the opening balance sheet resulting from the acquisition
    • executing data conversion into ERP system
  • Act as liaison between the M&A team, other workstreams, and finance & accounting teams.
  • Schedule and facilitate external and internal discussions among finance functions (Tax/Treasury, FP&A, Accounting), sellers, and internal business partners in inter-dependent departments (ex: Tech and Talent) to effectively communicate with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead finance & accounting workstream meetings and collaborate with stakeholders on managing deliverables as outlined in project trackers

What you need to be successful...

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • 7-10 years' experience in complex, high priority project management
  • 5+ years' experience in Mergers and Acquisitions, both pre- and post- integration
  • ERP implementation experience
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and processes.
  • Change management experience with the ability to lead the process through the period of transition.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and solution-focused
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes annual bonus eligibility, benefits, and other opportunities at ReSource Pro. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity relative to other ReSource Pro employees. This is a remote position and the salary range for most locations for this role is $72,306-$136,475. The salary range may vary based on the specific geographic location in which the candidate resides.
