Job Description and Responsibilities:


The Senior Logistics Manager will ensure that our government customer achieves the desired infrastructure, capabilities, and processes for the deployment of systems and services at the speed of relevance. The Senior Logistics Manager performing on this contract will possess the required skills, experience and credentials at the appropriate clearance level and be responsible for executing collaborative logistics integration and interoperability to enhance command and control, communications, and readiness for our customer.


Duties include but not limited to:


  • Provide logistics meeting support during test and demonstration planning.
  • Maintain the ability to receive training and serve as a Field Service Representative on required systems
  • Provide Life-Cycle Logistics Support including component failure tracking and configuration management.
  • Provide load planning and documentation for equipment shipment.
  • Provide test event support including resource identification, planning, delivery, site setup, site daily operation, and retrograde.
  • Maintain close coordination with security personnel to support shipping, receiving, and accountability.
  • Provide Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Government Furnished Property (GFP) management.
  • Conduct site surveys of proposed test and training locations to determine site and security service requirements.
  • Conduct inventory control of equipment by serial number to ensure all incoming and outgoing system, training and test equipment is recorded in the equipment logbook
  • Coordinate with the systems administrator to ensure LAN with Internet access and printing capability for events is installed.
  • Arrange for material handling equipment for off-loading, loading, and movement of test and training equipment.
  • Set up and operate test equipment power generation and distribution, and environmental control equipment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or other related field of study commensurate with requirements.
  • Relevant experience and years of service may be considered in lieu of required education

Required Experience:


  • Minimum 6-8 years experience in supporting logistics and field support integration for DoD systems and services
  • Secret Clearance
  • Past performance in supporting Special Operations related logistics activities and/or field support
  • Ability to work as a member of a team with the skills and personality to lead discussions that results in positive desired outcomes
  • Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, business management and customer service skills
  • Operational understanding of DoD Activity Address Codes (DoDAAC), property book control, as well as DoD shipping and receiving protocol.
  • Proven leadership in a logistics or field service management role for military systems and solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Conducting basic networking and emplacement of military systems upon receiving proper training manuals

Preferred Experience:


  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Experience with managing software and hardware integration and understanding of logistics required for operations
  • Project Management or process improvement experience
  • Understanding of acquisition management support and documentation for fielding software and systems
  • Experience working at Special Operations facility locations or field bases.

Travel: Up to 20% based on customer needs
