Responsibilities
- Design, implement, operate, and support CTC’s global Linux infrastructure
- Collaborate with traders, developers, operations teams, technologists, and management to deliver high-quality solutions to real-world problems
- Take a data driven approach to analyzing and solving complex problems
- Continually seek to improve system performance and drive down latency
- Build, operate, and optimize multiple on-prem OpenShift clusters across two continents
- Use an engineering mindset and automation to improve service delivery and increase user satisfaction
- Guide projects from beginning to end, including design, procurement, implementation, and documentation
- Research new technologies and solutions; be a catalyst for change
- Constantly improve monitoring and alerting for system and application performance
- Embrace teamwork. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
- Participate in an on-call rotation with the team for off-hours support. Other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications
- Low latency experience is required
- Strong experience supporting a large-scale global Linux server fleet
- Proven success designing, implementing, and operating low latency Linux systems
- Deep understanding of Linux system internals
- Consistent track record working under pressure in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- A team oriented and customer service mindset with a strong will to succeed
- OpenShift and/or Kubernetes experience is strongly preferred
- Financial trading industry experience and automation skills are preferred
- Cloud (Azure, AWS) experience is preferred
