Working within the Facilities division, the Automated Retrieval Center and Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the accurate movement of materials into and out of the Automated Retrieval Center ( ARC), a high-density storage facility within the J. Willard Marriott Library. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, fulfilling patron requests, processing returns, completing inventory, and intaking new collections. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for the Special Collections division and will work collaboratively with them to schedule material transfers and special projects. Provides as-needed support for Course Materials (Leganto) and all related Reserve functions including ordering books, auditing reading lists, and scanning articles. The coordinator will also work closely with the rest of the Facilities team to provide backup on a variety of projects throughout the library.

This position is required to work on campus full-time. Telecommuting will only be authorized for occasional/exceptional circumstances.

Responsibilities
Serves as the primary liaison between Special Collections and the ARC and is responsible for storing materials, completing inventory, reconciling loans and requests for the Special Collections patron account, and coordinating the intake of new collections.

Leads a variety of projects within the ARC collection assigned by ARC manager, including audits and inventory control.

Serves as the first backup for coverage in the ARC as necessary. Guides part-timers and assists part-time employees with troubleshooting.

Works within the Integrated Library System and ARC EMS software to analyze data to identify request and inventory problems and reconcile discrepancies. Generates reports and analysis in Alma analytics and performs catalog record maintenance.

Creates courses, reading lists, and orders library materials for Course Materials and the physical collection. Troubleshoots technical issues in Alma and Leganto for Course Materials and answers high-level questions from course librarians and campus faculty. Promotes the use of Course Materials in Leganto for faculty.

Assists the Associate Director for Logistics and Facilities with special projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Four years library experience or equivalency; knowledge of specialized library techniques and principles as well as research and organizational skills required; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required. Some supervisory experience may be preferred.

Preferences
Preferred experience working with an Integrated Library System. Attention to detail is strongly preferred. This position must be able to work independently, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and learn new technologies. Be able to work collaboratively and communicate with a diverse group of people in person, on the phone, and via email.. Ability to push a loaded book truck and flatbed and lift up to 50 pounds.
