As a Senior Legislative Consultant on our Specialty Benefits Division (SBD) Compliance team you'll effectively identify, analyze and communicate legislative and regulatory changes to promote operational compliance for insurance products!
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Determine applicability, recommend compliance methods, answer inquiries, and produce information regarding state and/or federal legislation, regulations bulletins and other communications.
- Serve as resource for compliance issues.
- Assist in the development of new insurance products or revisions to existing insurance products.
- College degree and 6+ years of work related experience (previous experience with compliance and/or legal research strongly preferred).
- Business unit product knowledge preferred.
- Excellent analytical, research, organizational, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, maintain a high degree of accuracy, and pay strict attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret state laws and regulations, work on multiple tasks simultaneously, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills - prolonged sitting, keyboarding, and exposure to PC screen.
Work Environments
This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements. You'll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
