This role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in software Quality Assurance, with proven experience in leading testing efforts, developing test strategies and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective
Responsibilities include designing and implementing tests (positive, negative, and regression), debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track Quality Assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)
Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
Essential Functions:- Lead the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive test strategies and test plans for software projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop test cases
- Perform manual and automated testing across various platforms and environments
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide status updates, report on test results, and communicate risks and mitigation strategies
- Identify, prioritize, and track defects through resolution, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software products
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall quality
- Mentor and coach junior QA team providing guidance on testing best practices, tools, and techniques
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to software testing and Quality Assurance
- Contribute to the overall software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design reviews and release management
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of testing tools and frameworks to support QA initiatives
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- 5-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Relevant experience in software testing and Quality Assurance, ideally with a focus on web applications, RESTful APIs, and C#.
- Familiarity with RESTful API concepts and testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, including manual and automated testing.
- Experience with test case design, test execution, and test reporting.
- Knowledge of different types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Postman, or RestAssured for API testing.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
- Ability to work closely with developers to ensure early defect detection and resolution.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools like Jira, Azure Devops, TestRail, or similar.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members.
- Basic knowledge of security testing and an understanding of potential security vulnerabilities related to RESTful APIs.
