JOB OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Director of PMO, this position oversees high-priority IT Infrastructure and Cloud projects, often requiring considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. The Senior IT Project Manager takes projects from design handoff through final implementation. The position interfaces with all areas affected by the project, including end users, distributors, and vendors; it also ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.

The successful candidate will be an energetic and clear communicator with deep IT project management experience. You have a track record of conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, particularly in a fast-paced environment. You are solution-oriented with a cheerful "can-do" attitude and seek opportunities for self-development and continuing education. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage large projects or program level services from inception to closing
  • Collaborate directly with the functional teams to define project scope and all required deliverables, activities, activity sequence, Work Break-down Structure (WBS) and work estimates to create a framework for the project schedule.
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize and determine the project's acceptance criteria/critical success factors and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project
  • Ensure project objectives are met within the constraints of project scope, time, cost and quality
  • Actively monitor project dependencies and risks
  • Lead, motivate, manage and support assigned team members to ensure adherence to process and procedures and to maximize contribution to effectiveness and efficiency
  • Coordinate and communicate with project resources, internal team, stakeholders and vendors on all aspects of project progression/status
  • Actively manage risks including issue escalation and resolution
  • Provide guidance and support to more junior Project Managers

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager in Information Technology disciplines.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in IT services or with another Managed Service Provider OR prior experience in an Operations/Technology role in a K-12 academic setting such as a school or college.
  • Understanding of technology foundations. LAN/WAN, VoIP, mobile technologies, Microsoft Server and Active Directory, Mac/PC support, printing, and cloud technology (Azure/inTune, Office 365. Google Workspace).
  • Hold an active Certified associate in project management (CAPM) or Project+.
  • Hold an active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

HOURS AND LOCATION:

The hours for this position are typically 9 AM to 5:30 PM EST, with some occasional after-hours work required based on client requests. This position is hybrid position. Travel to client sites as needed.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

We award our employees based on market and merit with competitive base pay, paid vacation, sick/personal days, and holidays. The company offers employees fully paid medical, dental, and vision plans. Professional development reimbursement for relevant training/learning opportunities will be provided. The salary range for this position is $96,000 to $120,000 annually depending on experience.
