Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior IT Project Manager.
In this role, the Senior IT Project Manager will manage and deliver complex enterprise projects ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and of quality. He/she is a seasoned professional providing advanced expertise in a complex project management and has experience mentoring less-experienced staff. Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts. Responsible for risk identification, mitigation and escalation through proper channels. Functions independently with limited work direction. where work is reviewed periodically and on an exception basis.

Job Responsibilities:

    • May direct assigned Project Managers in cases where a high complexity project or program has multiple work streams
    • Uses project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations.
    • Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
    • Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
    • Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources (people/money) of the work effort being managed.
    • Partners with senior management of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise.
    • Manages several cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity and/or major programs
    • Selects appropriate work procedures or approaches to address project challenges such as issues, risks, pending decisions, project changes and more.

Minimum Qualifications:
 Qualifications: Requires 7 or more years of experience and BA/BS degree. Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools such as those defined by Project Management Institute (PMI) and included in Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). This should include knowledge and use of resource management practices, change management techniques. Additionally, the candidate must possess the following:
- PMP Certification
- Experience working with Research IT projects
- Experience working with Educational IT projects
- Experience with SDLC
- Experience with Agile/Scrum Projects

Preferred Qualifications:
Health Care experience highly desired
