Job description

Senior IT Project Manager

The Senior IT Project Manager will oversee a team supporting the Defense Health Headquarters (DHHQ) and facilitating comprehensive project management activities for the DHA CAE. Your role will involve providing consultative support, managing project lifecycles, and ensuring effective collaboration among stakeholders. 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior IT Project Manager: $130,000 - $140,000
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Senior IT Project Manager Responsibilities Include: 

  • Provide strategic guidance on lifecycle management, sustainment, and project management activities.
  • Supervise contractor support staff for the CAE Equipment Management Office.
  • Maintain the overall program schedule and assist individual VH Project Managers with scheduling for product lifecycle management and sustainment.
  • Oversee requirements development, review, and optimization processes.
  • Engage with stakeholders to determine system gaps and document findings for upgrades and enhancements.
  • Report and resolve issues that could impact project schedules.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

 

Senior IT Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

  • Minimum of six (6) years of demonstrable experience managing Health IT projects.
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or comparable certification from the Defense Acquisition University.
  • Previous experience may include coordination between Engineering and Management, integration of project activities, and determination of appropriate products or services.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
