ADVA is looking for a Senior IT Administrator with exposure in all areas of Information Technology. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years hands-on experience architecting, deploying, securing, monitoring, and maintaining IT infrastructure and applications. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented candidate to work with diverse technologies in dynamic, challenging environment. In this role, the Senior IT Administrator will join a global team supporting evolving company needs with a security-first approach.

Principal Tasks

The candidate must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.  The candidate will perform duties such as routine helpdesk, desktop software, and break-fix support requests, new server racking, Windows and Linux server installation and configuration, Active Directory administration, application installation and maintenance, network hardware installation and ongoing support, and other general IT administration activities.

The following experience is desired:

  • Administration of Windows and Linux Operating Systems
  • Active Directory management
  • Network configuration implementation and management
  • Desktop / laptop installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Server installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • General IT Infrastructure installation, configuration and maintenance
  • Application software installation and maintenance
  • OS Patch installation and management
  • Desktop, Server & Network hardware configuration & maintenance
  • Backup & Restore
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and quickly identify and remedy issues
  • Familiarity with IT security principles, vulnerabilities and defenses
  • Experience working with R&D engineering teams is preferred

Supplementary Tasks

  • Participation in Global IT Service Teams

Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience

Qualifications / Experience

  • Candidate shall have a minimum of 5-8 years of experience as a Windows / Linux administrator in a 100+ desktop and multiple server environment

Training/Education

  • A high school diploma is required
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or a related discipline preferred, or demonstrated equivalent experience in computer programming and/or administration
  • One or more technical certifications preferred

  • Organized and efficient

  • The candidate will be a team player with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision. The candidate will be process driven and customer focused while prioritizing support and projects in a dynamic work environment.
