Job Overview:
First Priority Group is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Inventory Clerk to join our team at our Manchester, New Jersey manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, warehouse operations, purchasing and possess excellent computer skills. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient warehouse operations to support our customers’ needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving, organizing and maintaining inventory of emergency vehicle parts.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to process parts orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Enter relevant data into the inventory management system, including part numbers, quantities, and locations.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, locations, and transactions using inventory management software.
- Monitor and analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize inventory levels, and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to forecast inventory needs and place orders with suppliers as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or related field
- Proficiency in inventory management software, Microsoft Office suite and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment a plus.
