This is a remote role that can be based anywhere in the U.S. except New York, and New Jersey.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
The Senior Inventory Analyst will support and resolve inventory issues for multiple complex suppliers and internal categories. The Senior Inventory Analyst will be responsible for the end-to-end order creation and inventory management, ensuring instocks meet the company financial goals. This role works with large sets of data and requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills to understand and address inventory issues. Success in this role will be meeting or exceeding key performance indicators of turn, fill rate, and excess inventory. The Senior Inventory Analyst will mentor and help train other team members.
- Inventory Management: [80%]
- Utilize analysis to determine, communicate, and carry out the optimal product stocking strategy consistent with category and financial goals.
- Analyze how much to order and when it will land at our warehouse to meet turn and fill rate goals.
- Supports business, demand, and inventory planning by ensuring supplier or material specific planning requirements are accurately reflected in system of record.
- Partner within Purchasing, Product, Sales, Marketing, and suppliers to execute the inventory strategy and communicate inventory trends.
- Anticipating, communicating, and advising order needs and reactions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective collaboration with the Demand Planning team, other departments at QBP, and external stakeholders
- Communicating and managing excess and constrained inventory.
- Partnering with suppliers on QBP’s product flow expectations and solving gaps to improve functional product flow efficiency for QBP.
- Resolve supplier related compliance problems impacting QBP distribution centers and finance.
- Work with senior team members to achieve desired outcomes by articulating and advocating solutions/improvements which focus on win-win outcomes for both our suppliers and internal financial goals.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to build a world class Purchasing team that ensures Quality Business Products' (Q) inventory is a competitive advantage.
- Utilize analysis to determine, communicate, and carry out the optimal product stocking strategy consistent with category and financial goals.
- Leadership [15%]:
- Provide training, peer-collaboration, and onboarding to new/existing team
- Support purchasing and company projects to build efficient and integrated solutions and systems
- Build and leverage subject matter expertise to recommend process improvements
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. [5%]
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years relevant experience or 3 years experience in inventory management
- Must be able to rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
- Understanding of Microsoft Office and related applications
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently and effectively based on workload
- Decision making and analytical skills
- Comfortable initiating conversations with team and peers
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Ability to work with minimal supervisor
- Effective written and verbal skills
