Job Description

This role will be based in San Francisco, New York or Chicago. At LinkedIn, we trust each other to do our best work where it works best for us and our teams. As a Sr. Insights Analyst, you will leverage one of the richest proprietary data sets in the world to discover insights that help our field sales team serve our largest clients within our Sales Solutions business. 

Key responsibilities in this role include working closely with our sales team to deliver insights to drive customer value and impact on our business. You will be responsible for partnering with our top strategic sales account directors to identify and analyze key customer objectives and develop analyses that help them to make data-driven decisions on their strategy on how to get the most out of their  LinkedIn investment.  This role will require a strong ability to effectively present your insights to both internal and external customers (non-technical and technical audiences). 

You will strive to make the complex simple and confidently articulate insights in a way that drives clarity out of ambiguity. You will be a strong partner, build trust through effective identification and communication of priorities, and proactively seek out and integrate feedback. You will provide consultative advice to LinkedIn's sales reps, identify solutions that improve efficiency, and drive change management to expand the value we deliver to our customers (internally and externally). You will be an expert at using SQL to extract data from LinkedIn's massive data warehouse and turn that data into compelling stories that help our clients become more successful. 

You will build strong relationships with your partners, customers, peers and stakeholders through clear communication, proactive collaboration and sharing ideas and best practices. You will be responsible for successfully managing your time to focus on driving high quality, inspiring analyses that drives action and impact for the business. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Leverage LinkedIn's unique data to create actionable insights that continuously improve customer value and scale business impact 
  • Identify and plan work priorities based on the potential impact & engage productively with partners to deliver insights at scale 
  • Write SQL/Hive/Pig/Python queries to extract necessary data and utilize Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint to analyze the results and present the relevant business insights to clients 
  • Build cross-functional consensus on operational improvements and alignment towards shared deliverables 
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and Insights Program Managers to provide analyses that inform our key stakeholders 
  • Develop scalable and repeatable playbooks/guides for internal and external stakeholders 
  • Develop deep knowledge and understanding of the industry talent trends and objectives of our customers and drive development of insights and playbooks to address their specific business challenges 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree in math, marketing, statistics, economics, or related quantitative field 
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics or consulting role 
  • Background in SQL including 3+ years of experience using SQL 
  • 4+ years of experience with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MA/MS degree in math, marketing, statistics, economics or related quantitative field  
  • Experience in the technology industry providing actionable insights to customers 
  • Experience with Presto, Hadoop (Hive/Pig), Tableau, Python and Git 
  • Experience with project management and working cross-functionally with sales teams, marketing, data services and engineering 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation, data storytelling, and data analysis skills

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.  

The pay range for this role is $98,000 to $153,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
