GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
You will spearhead the tightening of our infrastructure as well as the adoption of new technology and practices. You will leverage different technology solutions to enhance protection in both the cloud and on-premises. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and employees throughout the Museum is a must. Tasks include diagnosing and resolving issues as well as researching and recommending hardware and software standards.
PRIMARY RESPONISIBILITIES & DUTIES:
  • Primary engineer responsible for implementing change, resolving vulnerabilities, and automating tasks from an infrastructure and identity perspective.
  • Partner with analysts to rectify alerts, vulnerabilities, and gaps.
  • Align with Network Security Engineers to ensure cohesion with policies and implementations.
  • Create and modify automation playbooks between managed SOC and various alerting platforms.
  • Ensure best practices are followed regarding Malware, Ransomware, hardening, IAM, and general Infrastructure Security.
  • Protect Office365 offerings, particularly Exchange Online.
  • Train and eventually delegate tasks to tech support.
  • Remediate vulnerabilities on servers and devices.
  • Harden server, MFA, and Azure configurations.
  • Modernize identity protection, MFA, and IAM standards. Implement changes.
  • Engage in cyber security audits and tabletop exercises

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience, preferable Azure
  • 5+ years of managing a SEIM, working with a managed SOC or similar
  • 10+ years of Windows, Active Directory, MFA, Defender ATP and Office 365.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
  • Experience running vulnerability scans and/or penetration tests
  • Understanding of network security fundamentals
  • Enhanced knowledge of PowerShell and some working knowledge of .NET programming
  • Experience with some combination of the following applications: PKI, Global Protect, VMware, Microsoft Windows 10, MacOS, Group Policy, JAMF, Office 356, Microsoft SCCM

COMPENSATION RANGE:
  • Pay Range : $140,000 - $160,000 / Annually
  • The advertised pay scale reflects the good faith minimum and maximum salary range for this role. The advertised pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage for any specific employee. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, special licensing or qualifications, and other factors.

Location Requirements
At time of employment, employees are expected to be located within commuting distance of the Museum. "Commuting distance" means that they are located in one of following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania (the "Tri-state and PA" areas), and be able to commute to and from the Museum in a single day.
