A typical day as a Senior Information Security Analyst may include:
- Will lead the ATO process from start to finish. Will work with the customer, IA's, ISSM's and Sys Admins to identify and create the requirements within NIST SP 800-53 compliance.
- Will create and write POAM's as needed to meet requirements under a specific schedule.
- Must identify and report risks.
Must-haves:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in stated knowledge, skills, & abilities below.
- CompTia Security + and DoD 8570 Baseline
- DoD Top Secret security clearance
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge to lead the ATO process.
- Familiar with the requirements of NIST SP 800-53.
- Experience with writing IA packages.
- Experience with RMF, working on Navy networks such as NMCI and RDT&E, and creating POAM's

Physical environment and working conditions:
The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site.
