- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design, performance specifications, or environmental regulations.
- Work with supplier's technical support on the identification of materials and components that meet required specifications.
- Responsible for securing stamped drawings and state certifications working with external and internal resources.
- Initiate the creation of production BOMs, Material Lists, and Assembly Instruction Sheets for manufacturing based on project drawings.
- Provide project updates consistently to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Estimate costs or submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects.
- Recommend the use of utility or energy services that minimize carbon footprints.
- Design integrated mechanical or alternative systems, such as mechanical cooling systems with natural ventilation systems, to improve energy efficiency.
- Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of the mechanical and plumbing codes, energy codes, ASHRAE standards, FGI Guidelines, and other building codes.
- Strong ability and desire to lead mechanical HVAC Design Engineering to achieve a high-performance system; desire to evaluate system alternatives with increasing energy efficiency.
- Detailed understanding of all phases of architectural / engineering document production with a working knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM). Projects are produced in Revit 2022. The ability to review and monitor the production progress via the BIM is required.
- Strong knowledge of Building Automation Systems and Controls. Ability to author sequences of operation and develop design control documentation for HVAC systems.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering. A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered instead of the degree.
- A minimum of 10 years of MEP design in commercial construction is required.
- Valid PE license(PA) and LEED-accredited (Commercial) status are highly preferred.
- Knowledge in Building Energy Analysis and ROI calculations.
- Knowledge of IBC, NFPA, IRC, IPC, and all other relevant construction codes.
- Working knowledge of local and national codes including the National Electrical Code
- Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD Construction Cloud.
- Strong leadership skills and be able to work in a fast-paced work environment with multiple deadlines.
