Our Opportunity
We are looking for a Sr. HR Manager supporting our Corporate and Wholesale departments.  The Senior Corporate and WholesaleHR Manager provides key HR support to Directors, Managers, and employees at all levels of the organization.  They partner with others on the HR team to actively engage in talent acquisition, organizational development, process improvement, and talent management.  They are also responsible for communicating and carrying out HR initiatives across assigned business units.  Essential Functions
  • Serves as an advisor to Corporate and Wholesale leaders on all aspects of human resources
  • Works closely on key HR-related initiatives that will drive operational efficiency, improve overall quality, and reduce operational costs
  • Assesses, attracts, retains, and supports a workforce that creates a competitive advantage by recruiting, developing, engaging, and retaining the best talent with the right skills
  • Leads key HR processes including such things as talent development, performance management, and compensation planning
  • Delivers payroll strategies and processes through the support, guidance, and development of the Payroll Manager
  • Via the support, guidance, and development of the HR Administrator, provides administrative support to the HR team as a whole
  • Prepares comprehensive HR data and other insights for use by leadership for strategic planning
  • Completes reporting and ensures compliance with federal, state, local and company HR-related laws, regulations, and policies
  • Uses deep understanding of the organization's internal and external business environment to plan, direct, and manage activities to continually reflect trends, market fluctuations, and changes in business best practices and technology
  • Leads cross-business, cross-geography, and/or company-wide HR work streams such as change management, training and development, succession planning, etc.
Supervisor Responsibilities
  • Supervises, hires, trains, provides work direction, and problem-solving assistance for assigned employees. Reviews performance and recommends salary increases, or other employment changes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least eight years of human resource management experience required, including demonstrated experience leading a team.
  • Professional HR Certification; SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SCP) or HRCI Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred
  • Experience with hands-on implementation/set up/design of HR systems, with preference given to UKG; includes understanding of how the system connects to other systems and processes
  • Experience in the agriculture industry preferred; other relevant industry backgrounds will be considered
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Significant Human Resources experience, including broad, generalist HR functional expertise in organization design, change management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, recruitment and staffing, training, and leadership/management development including succession planning
  • Familiar with HR best practices including change, motivation, and employee development; demonstrated ability to drive change and build a performance culture
  • Ability to influence and coach leaders, including Managers, Directors, and VP-level employees
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present information to all levels of the organization in a clear, concise, and compelling way; comfortable working and communicating with employees at all levels in geographically dispersed business operations
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to lean into tough projects and decisions with persistence and leadership
  • Previously demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong bias for action, keen sense of urgency and the ability to drive results
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Experience and interest in creating and implementing talent strategies aligned with functional objectives
  • Authentic individual with impeccable integrity and level of professionalism
  • Ability to put the interests of the broader team and the Company’s goals ahead of their own personal agenda
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.  Employee may occasionally be required to visit agricultural/industrial/warehouse settings which require exposure to heat, humidity, dust, and industrial hazardous conditions which will require the use of PPE.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods and the use of hands to finger is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force may occasionally be required. While performing the duties of this job, good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, and copiers is needed. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
Travel
Occasional overnight travel as necessary and for department or company meetings
