Senior HR Business Partner
Position Summary:
As a Senior HR Business Partner with Gallagher, you will be a key driver of our organization's success, providing strategic HR leadership to support our dynamic growth. You'll play a pivotal role as a trusted advisor, collaborating with senior leaders to implement effective talent management strategies, foster a high-performance culture, and drive organizational effectiveness. This position supports employees and leaders across the United States in complex, client facing sales and support roles. Ideal candidates are experienced, enthusiastic, and solution-oriented professionals that are excited about contributing to the success of a growing organization.
This role can be based out of Gallagher offices located in Rolling Meadows, IL, San Diego, CA or Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior leaders, providing expert guidance and support on all HR-related matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional cross-enterprise teams to develop and implement HR initiatives, programs, and policies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on various HR-related topics, including performance management, employee relations, talent development, and compensation.
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Utilize this information to develop and implement effective HR strategies and solutions.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a seamless recruitment and onboarding process, including participating in interviews, assessing candidates, and providing input on hiring decisions.
  • Lead initiatives to support our company's culture, promoting inclusivity, collaboration, and employee engagement through the implementation of targeted programs and activities.
  • Implement and execute a long-term talent management strategy for the business, including talent pipelines, employee development, succession plans, and workforce planning.

Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience working in large matrixed organizations, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Team player that knows how to work across divisions and functional areas in order to develop and deliver effective solutions. This includes experience partnering with corporate Centers of Excellence (e.g., Talent Acqusition, Total Rewards, L&D, etc.) in a proactive, effective manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex HR concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and align HR strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Excellent learning agility, with the ability to quickly adapt to new situations, learn new concepts, and apply them effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly those specific to California. Candidates must have experience supporting California-based employees and leaders.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience required. Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
Preferred:
Master's degree preferred. Strong business and financial acumen. PHR/SPHR certification desirable.
Behaviors:
Above average verbal and written communication skills necessary. Good interpersonal skills required.
