Description
The Senior Graphic Designer plays a vital role in elevating and maintaining the high creative standards that are crucial to the ongoing success of MaxCyte's marketing efforts. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications, they will employ creative design expertise, digital/web knowledge and project management skills to produce compelling assets that drive external and internal communications campaigns across a diverse range of channels.
Whether crafting graphics, digital content or video content, their work will establish visual continuity and brand alignment for the full spectrum of MaxCyte's marketing initiatives - from collateral to campaigns, advertisements to email, iconography to infographics and more. The Senior Graphic Designer will partner closely with cross-functional marketing and company stakeholders to interpret needs, concept fresh designs and deliver polished, impactful creative that aptly brings marketing strategies to life.
Work Location: Hybrid (onsite at MaxCyte's headquarters located in Rockville, Maryland, 2-3 days per week, or as needed)

• Leads design and layout of electronic and print materials for all programs including: digital media (e.g., website, banner ads, social media, intranet, e-mail campaigns, eNewsletters), print media (e.g., flyers, brochures, application notes, scientific posters, print advertisements), events (e.g., booth graphics, posters, signage, giveaways), product related assets (e.g., packaging, labels, user manuals), and PowerPoint presentations for internal and external use
• Supports execution of email marketing campaigns - designs templates, emails, forms, and landing pages in marketing automation platform; sets up lists and flows, and performs other database related tasks as needed
• Manages corporate brand guidelines and ensures branding is used properly and consistently on all internal/external material, as well as distributors and third-party vendors
• Manages design projects from concept to completion on time and on budget, working with all levels in the organization while adhering to the brand standards
• Manage 3rd party vendors/agencies; consults with photographer/videographer on studio and non-studio shoots as appropriate
• Complies with all applicable policies regarding health, safety, and the environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Digital Media Design or closely related field with 8 years' experience in graphic design for web and print for high-tech industries or equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is required (Photoshop, InDesign, Flash, Acrobat, Illustrator, etc.) and other graphic design software is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Power Point required
• HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, Flash and/or SML experience preferred
• Experience building assets in marketing automation platforms
• Solid understanding of website content management systems (WordPress experience a plus)
• Excellent creative and design skills with ability to translate highly technical content into engaging visual assets
• Excellent project management skills, ability to manage several simultaneous projects and requests from several teams while maintaining high-quality, strong attention to detail and strong communication
• Video production/editing experience a plus
• Some understanding and passion to learn about new technologies such as AI powered tools and other upcoming technologies building efficiencies for marketing teams
• Domestic travel up to 10%

Salary Description
Min. starting salary $105,000/yr, depends on exp.
