Roles & Responsibilities
- Exemplify Stampin’ Up!’s core values: we care about people first, we act with courage, we better our best, and we own it.
- Understand and execute the brand in our visual storytelling. Create high quality design across various media types: print/web deliverables, promotions, branding, social media, digital animation, logo items, packaging, videos, etc.
- Oversee photography created for use in assigned projects. Partner with photographers to collect props, select talent, and ensure the brand aesthetic/style, composition, colors, and subject matter meet project objectives.
- Lead the creative development of project assignments under minimal supervision; develop concepts, ensure accuracy, follow processes, track and meet deadlines, communicate with stakeholders, collaborate with other departments, and attend/lead meetings. Responsibly manage and archive design files.
- Consistently work to improve department processes, quality, and efficiency of projects. Work with external vendors as assigned. Attend press checks or other vendor visits as applicable. Ensure accuracy in upload, color, registration, and quality. Prepare accurate, color-correct, and high-quality deliverables.
- Actively participate in brainstorms and critiques with design teams, managers, directors, and other appropriate stakeholders. Share and receive constructive feedback and ideas; contribute to a positive work environment.
- Stay current in design trends, programs, technologies, and innovative thinking as it applies to print, web platforms, social media, etc. Pursue professional and personal development; seek to remain current in creative trends, design developments, and technologies. Mentor and assist teammates with technical guidance, direction, and encouragement. Support team manager in maintaining productive and positive team culture.
- Portfolio demonstrating advanced proficiency in basic design principles: layout, typography, color theory, scale, etc.
- BA/BFA in graphic design, illustration, web design, or equivalent work experience.
- Five years professional experience in a corporate graphic design setting. Marketing or advertising background ideal. Experience with graphic design for web platforms and social media is a plus.
- Expertise with Adobe programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Experience with Figma or XD is helpful.
- Ability to think strategically, take initiative, multitask, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
