Major Responsibilities:
- Effectively provide Global Benefits management and support for an assigned book of global employee benefits business, including design, placement, and ongoing support of in-country employee benefit plans, as well as cross-border (expat, business travel) benefit plans.
- Serve as the pivotal relationship manager and act as the liaison between clients, Lockton Global offices and partners, vendors, and Lockton's U.S.-based producers and associates requesting assistance with various Global Benefits topics.
- On-going development of strong working relationships and demonstrating "ownership" of accounts by responding to requests for assistance with Lockton's high standard of service
- Global Benefits Management (ongoing service for clients who have engaged Lockton to support their non-US employee benefit plans/schemes on a global basis), via our network of Lockton Global offices and partners.
- Design, placement and ongoing support of Local Benefit Plans (Retirement, Health & Welfare), and maintaining a working knowledge of country-specific benefit landscapes and client-specific plans.
- Design, marketing, placement and ongoing support of Cross-Border Plans (Expatriates, Third Country Nationals, International Business Travelers)
- Development and ongoing management of Global Strategies (Multinational Pooling, Captives, etc.)
- Additional Project Management (country-specific engagements)
- Work with Lockton client teams to understand prospective or current multinational client's requirements regarding non-US employee benefit plans/schemes.
- Work with Lockton Global and partners to provide appropriate solutions to client.
- Manage each project by acting as a liaison between client, Lockton client team, and Lockton Global offices and partners.
- Provide additional support as needed on a go-forward basis, including day-to-day issues, renewals, etc.
- Mentorship of Global Benefits Consultants, Account Managers, and Benefits Analysts
- Meet with customers as necessary (ability to travel is required)
- As appropriate, produce white papers, internal and external articles regarding various topics within Global Employee Benefits.
- Network effectively via social networking sites (i.e. LinkedIn), Global Benefits conferences and forums, and local global HR groups.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a business related field.
- Senior Consultant position requires at least 7 years experience in the global employee benefits field.
- A strong to exceptional working knowledge of health & welfare benefits with a clear understanding of risk and insurance concepts.
- Excellent working knowledge of statutory, mandatory and competitive employee benefit practices in major countries worldwide (Canada, UK, Mexico, BRIC countries, etc.)
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to think intuitively, assertively and creatively
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to develop sound relationships
- Ability to interact with vendors effectively
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Salesforce
- Required insurance licenses or ability to obtain immediately
- Ability to travel 10-30%
- Bilingual preferred
- Experience working or living abroad preferred
- Industry certifications preferred (i.e. GPHR, IFEBP, World@Work, CEBS, IBIS Academy)
