Job Description
An asset management firm in Connecticut is actively seeking an experienced professional to join their staff as their new Senior Fund Accountant - Private Equity. In this role, the Senior Fund Accountant - Private Equity will be responsible for producing fund financial statements and other required financial information.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Fund Accountant - Private Equity will
- Prepare investment and positions reconciliation
- Prepare daily journal entries to ensure fund cash flow is accurate
- Manage cash and short-term borrowings
- Prepare investor capital call/distribution notices
- Prepare investor funded and unfunded commitments
- Prepare accuracy of distribution calculation and waterfall models
- Prepare IRR and performance reporting models
- Work closely with outside administrator
- Oversee day-to-day auditor relationship
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Accounting experience in the Public and/or Private sector
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or a related field
- Private equity background
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Bank Loans (term loans and revolvers) and Bonds
- Working knowledge of Investran
