The Role
As a Senior Front Line Control Testing Advisor at USAA, you will be part of a dynamic environment, collaborating with various business leaders under the Chief Financial Office. Your responsibilities include executing Control Testing functions to strengthen the first line of defense.
This position is based in Charlotte, NC and requires presence in the office four days a week.
Relocation support is not available for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive solutions to enhance controls for risk and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Supervise and evaluate business controls effectiveness.
- Conduct risk data analysis and prepare reports using business intelligence tools.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the control environment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement risk remediation efforts.
- Provide oversight to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Serve as a key resource to team members in risk identification and control management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 6 years experience in risk-related, compliance-related, or business control design activities.
Desired Qualifications:
- 5-6 years of experience in first line of defense Control Testing.
- 1-2 years of Control Testing review experience.
- Preferred certifications: CIA, CRCM.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and work independently.

Compensation: USAA provides competitive salaries based on experience and market data. The salary range for this position is $95,560 - $172,000.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on performance and corporate outcomes.
